She Was Called A Harlot But Now A Heroine!

Did you remember the charming and Grammy award-winning prostitute and the spies in Joshua 2?

Hebrews 11:31:  _By an act of faith, Rahab, the Jericho harlot…_

There seem to be something missing here?  How does an award-winning harlot or prostitute get this kind of recognition?  Why is Rahab in Hebrews 11; The hall of fame of the faithful?

In the eyes of man, many would say she should have been in the hall of shame not the hall of fame of the faithful!

_Do you know that many tongues-speaking brethren would not risk their lives for family and friends Yet Rahab, the harlot risked her life to protect “enemy” spies?_  Joshua 2:4

We are quick to gossip, judge, and condemn than we are willing to understand and give help. Obviously, we don't know much about the people we judge. God can use anybody, even a liar, to fulfill his purpose in our lives. Instead of being judgemental, show some love.

God is only pleased by our faith and the only thing that matters is faith working through love!
Rahab’s faith and conviction gave her the courage to look death in the face—and live. Courage is premised on unwavering faith, as Rahab demonstrated.

If a prostitute could receive the privilege of motherhood in the line of Jesus Christ, then surely nothing is impossible with God (Matthew 19:26).

"Never Judge a person who is on a journey. Life is not over yet"

  1. Surprisingly, Rahab married Salmon, the son of Judah’s tribal leader. From this marriage came their son Boaz, a faithful man of God. Boaz married Ruth (of the book of Ruth), and their son Obed became the father of Jesse, the father of King David. From David came the Savior of all mankind, Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:5-6; Matthew 1:15-16; Ruth 4:21-22; 1 Chronicle 2:10-15). Amazingly, then, a former prostitute of Canaan would become what every Israelite woman hoped to be—a mother in the line of the Messiah.

God can use anybody. Don't feel you are useless and do not give up on yourself.
